removed a headlining last night, you have to be carefull and lever them off as there are clips that hold the covers on and underneath the covers is the screws. They are breakable so be carefull.

Rooflinining is just held on with glue but fragile as well.

Sunroof lining clips on at the back but we did not get that far to remove the rest of it.

I cant see the attachment, so do you have to prise off the plastic mounts to access them? They didnt seem to want to budge for me, and didnt want to butcher them.

I have water pouring in from somewhere above the headlining, have to get it off somehow

Mark, from memory I think the base of each sunvisor arm has a cap which can be prised off to reveal two screws. Remove these and your done.

Yeah both the section that the sunvisor clips into and the other section which holds the sunvisor on both just clip on there are screws underneath them. I will try get a picture later of them if I can as the headlining's in the garage atm waiting to go in the new car.

Should just clip on and push up you don't need to remove that to get the headlining out tho.

Hmm ok, it looks like its wedged in around the edge of the opening by a plastic strip. Here goes...

This may be daft but the only entry point is the roof aerial. I guess you checked this first via the rear interior light before removing the whole headlining?

                        Eh no i havent

It needs to come out anyway as the cloth has started to seperate from the backing. Want to dry it out and glue it back together.

The lining seems to be held in with a plastic trim surrounding the sunroof opening, i guess it just prises off too?

Its just I had a nice leak onto the rear seats via that light. Managed to solve it with socket set & sealant via that lamp fitting without lining removal. Nevermind its all good fun

Got the headlining off, the plastic trim around the sunroof opening does clip onto the roof lining, i just needed to prise it apart with a screwdriver all the way around. Roof lining is also stuck to the bottom of the sunroof with a large double sided sticky pad, roughly the same size as the sunroof. Takes a lot of patience to separate it without damaging the lining but it’s possible.

Because the lining got wet the material separated from the foam backing and came apart. Used a can of spray glue for making ice installs, the stuff you use for sticking felt onto MDF sub boxes etc. Worked perfectly, doesn’t leave any stains on the material and looks the same as the rest of the lining. You would never know
