The recaro's are a good seat and with these are a bit better as compared to rs2 recaro's are lighter with the same level of comfort and support.

Standard seats don't give you any support and avant seats are actually smaller than coupe one's bonus with escort recaro's you get the extendable leg bolster.

yeah that extra thigh support is definately something i am looking fwd to. drove a new a4 avant a while back and they had them on the sports seats and it really helps with long distance comfort

Plus for the likes of you it will stop you sliding around the car on the ring/combe.

I did swindon->herts>birmingham->herts->swindon this weekend the computer said 14+ hrs driving and I had no problems with my back etc in them seats. Can't say the same about the truck I use at work or even the seat i'm sitting on now.

well that blue interior that you see in the picture was retrimmed for me by a company and cost me £210 iirc front/rear and geargaitor

I'd like to make some seat frames for the recaro's I have, any drawings or pictures would help greatly.
Also, do you have contact details for the retrimmers you use. They are very cheap.

You can normally pick a pair of seats up off the bay for around £40 in average condition, my mate normally charges £20 for the bases depending what work he has on.

Yeah, hopefully he can source some if not I know someone else that probably can.

Yeah he's good with his prices (or at least was to me) but just takes his time doing them which cuts the cost down.

Yeah the heated elements would fit in there, there should be enough space.

Retrimmers name/address is above, the price should be around that amount even to someone else as I knew him when I went in, i've got to pop up there again soon.

The blue/black recaro's above was vinyl/alacantra which imo lasted longer and was better than leather.

I will try get some pictures up of the bases/how they was modified when I get a chance, the bases work out lighter than standard and so do the seats due to the huge metal seat cup under the original seats.
