    Corbeau seats

Thinking about getting a really cheap bucket seat for track days, but keeping the standard seats for everyday use. Not sure how this would work with the harness but i'll get to that later...

Looked at the Corbeau Forzas and they are only about £160 with the subframes. They look good enough for the job, supportive is all i need

Anyone had any experience fitting these to an S2 Coupe? I did a search and found a few peeps had problems with seat heights. I'm about 6 feet tall.

    Was this problem ever resolved?

I have the Corbeau Boss seats in my car - nice and supportive and very comfy (plus they are recliners).

I never did get the subframes sorted.. I'm going to get my mate to chop and weld them. The subframe I was sent has "Golf III" marked on it, so I presume someone thinks that the pattern is the same, even though they caused my seats to be way too high. Try getting in touch with Corbeau UK - and if you get anywhere let me know!!

Yeah, I saw your thread. Looking at a Corbeau supplier, they do list a subframe for the type89 coupe, and a seperate one for the S2 with a different part number so presumabley it is a unique part. Maybe you do have a Golf one.

I might bite the bullet and buy it, see what happens.

A friend had a pair of Forzas in a Scirocco track car, great seats, supportive and comfortable enough for 150 mile road trips. Not sure how well they'll fit as Ben says and you should really team them up with a harness for the best results. We had to butcher the subframes for the Scirocco as they were far too high but got there in the end.

The other option you have for similar money is a Jap crap Recaro and subframe, be about £200 and I can vouch that they're awesome. Go for the speed design as it's sportier.

Where did you get your recaro from Andy? Browsed through ebay and saw nowt. I'm really tempted to get a brand new Forza seat as they do look like incredible value for a bucket seat.

Just thinking about the harneses, not sure if i could even attach these without a roll cage. Maybe it's an excuse to strip the car out and keep the buckets in there permanently...
