I've just ordered OE pedal rubbers for mine as they're nice and subtle. There are lots of afer market kits but make sure the accelerator pedal is a normal size as I've just removed the biggest accelerator pedal from my Polo cos I kept hitting ht eaccelerator when pressing the brake!

Nice Don't they do an accelerator pedal too? If they were black or grey I'd like them a lot.... for pedals anyway

                  .

                  Think i bought 2 clutch pedal covers...bought ÂŁ8 each.

Did have to reduce the size of the metal backing plate a little...still got both fitted in less than an hour...even quicker if you use a dremel.

Fitted taday a couple of new pedal pads original from Audi.
To fit them it's pretty easy IF.....

You heat them up with an hot air gun (hair drier will do as well with more time I guess) for a couple of minutes until they become nice and tender, if they don't go heat them more (careful not to melt them) I found that when they were almost hard to keep in your hand they'll go on easy and nicely like a sock.

Anyone has any idea if there's a way to adjust the height of the clutch pedal?
Mine sticks almost an inch over the brake one so I have a lot of useless play before it properly engages the clutch.

                        Thanks

                        Stefano
IMHO no way you can fit them as they're without heating process.

                          Hi Stefano

I think you can adjust the pedal position a bit by screwing the clevis the onto the rod of the master cylinder

                            Thanks Alex.

I already had a look into that adjustment but I believe it's not near to the travel I need.
The clutch pedal sticks circa 1 inch above the brake one...

I was wondering though that ETKA gives two options for the over-centre spring.
the difference it's in length (also diameter but should'nt be a problem)
                            the 8A0721403E it's mm 100x28x28
                            the 4A0721403E it's mm 110x27x27
1 centimeter it's better then nothing
and I reckon (could be wrong) by looking at the leverage layout that if the spring it's longer I should have lower pedal....
Need to check if I have already the longer one though, if I'm lucky and had the shorter one fitted then longer spring plus the clevis adjustment I could get there?

There may be a stopper of some sort missing., I think Mk 1 or 2 golfs had such an arrangement.

You could get your head into the footwell, see how it works, and engineer a ghetto solution of using the buckle of a big zip tie positioned in the right spot to act as a stopper to make the height of the two pedals line up,

Just a thought, others may have correct answer.
