    Dashboard Oil Pressure guage Faulty.

Hi, not overly technical so I shall explain in idiot-speak.
I have a 93 Avant S4. The far left dial on the dash board, which I understand to be the Oil Pressure Guage for the turbo (???) moves immediately all the way to the right hand side of the dial upon ignition. There it stays until the ignition is switched off. This wasn't always the case, and happened during a 'minor' complete engine transplant.
I would appreciate it if anyone can help me diagnose th eroot cause of this malfunction.
I defer to the almighty wisdom of the group!

Likely answer is the gauge is not actually hooked up to the sender (wire off). The F22 oil pressure gauge sender shows up in this post, showing the two wires that should be attached to it:

      Dave could be right there...

Worth checking the pins onto the sender are correctly wired.
There are two pins on the sender - one marked 'G' for guage - this should have black/blue wire
The other pin is a low pressure switch - with a black/white wire that goes to the Autocheck module

Check the schematics at www.s2central.net if in any doubt - I have more info on that device that I can dig up if necessary.

The wire colours above are for the S2 only - for the record... I'd need to dig up some AAN schematics to check wire colours on that S4 Avant.
