Just got another reply from Capital Seating. Apparently they still make the subframes for the turbo quattro, the 100, 200, and V8. Are any of these similiar to the Coupe?

Are the G60 runners different widths? Really not bothered about height.

Interesting, you wnat them low so you can actually fit in the car without hitting you head Scirocco frames are differnent, too narrow.

mk1/2's corrado's are the same, mk3 and late mk1 cab are completely different. I put a pair of editon one recaros from a mk2 g60 in my old 20vcq and they bolted straight in , but they were a little low. My wife has recaros in her corrado, i can meaure them if you like to make sure

Mk 1 and 2 Golfs are the same as each other, although Mk 1s have their adjustment handle for sliding backwards and forwards on the outer side of the seat and the Mk 2s on the inner side of the seats, the B4 platform takes a wider seat base.

i.e. the two rear legs of the seat are wider on the B4s than a Mk 1 / 2 Golf.

    BTDT.

    Kind regards.
    This is what i thought.

Thanks for the suggestion anyway though, i think the easiest way if i can't find a second hand one would be to weld my own using an old OEM seat base.

I'm pretty sure i've tried a mk2 golf seat in my coupe before and it didn't fit, runners were too wide. How sure are you of this as that would be great if it did fit

    Demon Tweeks just in case?

    Any port in a storm.....

    Good luck.
