Is the Meg's APC better than the heavy duty cleaner?

I have an old VAX vacuum cleaner that works in wet mode as described by T2Andy above. It works very well as it has a 1000W motor so the seats come up virtually dry. You could probably pick one up on the bay or local adds for a brown drinking voucher or 2.

      Alternatively: -

      1. Drive to local garage with a pressure washer
      2. Remove single bolt at front of seat then slide back and out of runners
      3. Lift seats out and place in pressure washer area
      4. Wash the hell out of the seats whilst ignoring the perplexed onlookers
      5. Lift wet seats back in to car, slide into runners and replace bolt
      6. Place bin bag over drivers seat (or change into wetsuit) and drive home
      7. Remove seats, carry into house and leave in spare room with heater on full

Wait 2 days (remembering to change out of wetsuit or you will become Mr Boil-in-a-bag)

      8. Refit seats in car

      Cheers n

haha. I like your thinking Si. If it was a coupe i'd just pull them out and throw them in the back of teh a4, wash them and bring home without the wetsuit
I'll keep an eye on ebay, gumtree, freeads etc and see what comes up locally. I'll still use the megs apc and cloth first to see how that goes

search numatic on ebay a guy sells them for about £160 remember these are pro units
and last 10 times longer than vax ect .i use a soft bristle brush also from the bay
The numatics have a lever on the spray head which shuts the water off when released.http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/__numat....c0.m14&_pgn=3http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/car-valeting-v...1%7C240%3A1318

I have used what T2Andy is on about as my mum has a cleaning firm so it's at hand. Brilliant thing she's had it around 10 year now and it still as strong as ever. Good for the money now a days and it will pay for it's self in no time, cause you know you'll have to clean the carpets in the house with the kid and all!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just some finishing touches to do now
