front seats recomendations?

anyone replaced their front seats with those out of another car that look good?
My fronts are past their best & I cant really afford nice new recaros so I was thinking of a trawl round some breakers yards . Some of the newer Audis or VWs look like they would match in ok & Im thinking most VAG cars would have similar fittings?
Id be willing to make up a frame for any make really tho.

Any ideas? ( mine are black with the "quattro" logo)

Mitsy Evo seats are good, Recaro Speed and Trendline I think. Not sure on what newer VAG stuff fits but I think that the mk.3 Golf stuff is close and needs a slight modification to the runners to fit. There are a few Recaro seats from Golf that would do well.

as said evo pretty cheap place get seats, was up in a breakers yard getting subaru parts with a mate, and they specialized in jap cars for rallying, so the seat got cheap outa such places. subaru seats aint any good since got sti on them

if you could get rs4 seats might look well but more likely look outa place in the 80's cabin


is back seat black? makes life lot simpler
my 90 had velvet grey seats and i have 100 S4 seats in the front, had to fit the frame from the smaller chassis to the 100 sears as legs go out bit longer, i guess would been able cut and weld the the 100 frames if must have
