heater ducts and flaps

well my heater core been leaking and not working

so this morning on my day off college i decided change the core and i have noticed that on the flaps for diverting the air the foam has pretty much gone revealing 5 20mm holes, im guessing this going to have made my heater a lot less effective

the flap for diverting air away from the face blowers also has to 25mm holes in it were use to be foam

ill take couple pictures and post them in a moment

i decided to wash the gunk off that came out of the heater core into it holder and even more foam came off, camr find a proper camera but ill use the mobile might look ok
