    Lighter Torch fix

A while ago i bought a lighter torch from VAG parts to find it was too small for my socket and blew fuses as it rattles about and shorts the positive. last week i made a sleeve which is a tight fit over the torch negative barrel and is 0.75mm thickness, now it fits snuggly and works a treat. The sleeve is made of brass, or you could use stainless to keep the silver look.

It is a real pain that there are 2 sizes of lighter socket

On the torch front, I am a huge LED Lenser fan. They make the best LEDs and the best lenses/light guides so the light output from their torches is amazing.

I have their ciggy lighter torch below

The great thing is, it comes with a sleeve for the larger sockets

(Note the black band is just a paper lable that is removed before use)

is this an original VW part? I have 1 from a touareg in my S2, and that did cause a fuse to blow due to not a perfect fit... once in place no prob, but when removing it or putting it back there is a risk of short-circuiting

I think it is an Audi part as it has the Audi and 4 rings etched into the lense. Although it does not look like the touareg torch. I'll get a photo tomorrow.
