    RS2 Recaro - broken subframe

I didn't think I was that heavy but the strut that goes between the runner and subrame has sheared/fractured/snapped/broken.

I'm not sure if this is a weldable fix as the break is at a norrow point.

I cant seem to find any info on RS2 Recaro subframes, but if a new subframe is the way to go does anyone have any suggestions whether OEM or not

    Many thanks. Angus

The same happened on my Mk2 Golf recaros, I welded it and was pefect. You'll be lucky to find a recaro subframe for a RS2 I'm looking for some as well.
Just some finishing touches to do now

        Hey Jamo

Still knocking round.. just. Problem is work keeps getting in the way and this year usually out of the country.

Car is running well - aside from a wobbly seat.

        Hope you are well

Same thing on one of mine, only it was the other side runner that bent. I tried to sort it but just could never get it right.

Keep an eye on ebay.de - I just got a replacement rs2 recaro subframe with the electric motor and all for 20 euro - postage from germany was another 20 but I still thought it was a good deal given how many sellers there won't ship outside germany, and the guy took paypal!! even rarer!
