the metal bracket that forms the bolster has broken, and i need to weld it back in place
is there a guide on how to strip a seat on here somewhere? i cant find anything
oh id like this too!!! my drivers seat doorside bolster has worn throgh (too much punishment from my fat ****!) and do we know if you can buy replacement bolsters??
i have managed to srtip down part of the base, enough to expose the metal for welding without settting the foam on fire, lol
i have read on another forum that you can buy the foam inserts from audi, as for the fabric, i would conact an upholsterer (spelling??) as i think it would be a tricky diy job
IIRC you can still get the seat base foam off the dealer but its not cheap - or find a decent condition passenger seat thats not worn out and rob the foam and/or material off it

That's a top tip that one, done it myself a couple of times. Same applies to the seat backs.
