i removed mine once by accident was looking for strut top

from what i remember you have to remove the plastic trims that hold the seatbelt in place and also the boot floor hook (one for strapping down loads) then remove the peg that the seat clips into and it should pop off after that.

its not difficult but take your time and make sure you have everything off, why you need behind it? there isnt much in there

There is'nt much room behind them!

1]Remove the covers from the seatbelts, be very careful or they will snap!
        2]Remove 2 bolts underneath them
3]Remove the post that the seat backs clip into
4]Remove the load fixing rings in the floor (they are ALL handed, be careful when refitting)
5]Remove the trim that goes across the roof and down the d-pilars
6]Undo the ends of the seatbelt to thread through the hole in the panel
        7]Lift panel to remove

Dest is right with his guide.

The only thing you need to look out for is the edge by the windows has tabs that hock on the car body. So the trim needs to be lifted up to remove once all the other steps are done and rehooked on after when refitting or the trim will squeak.

          Left side has most room.

I had an amp aprox 30cm x 25cm x 8cm mounted vertically behind the battery.
It was bonded on the corners with silicon to the car skin.
          Worked fine

As far as I know Avants don't have rear top mounts.
                  I stand to be corrected.

They don't have top mounts like the front, it's part 10 in the pic above and you have to remove the spring to change.
