    UrS4 Speedo dies intermitently

As the title says, it has reached the point where the frequency of this has become such that I need to nail the root cause. When this does occur, it usually comes back of its own accord within 24 hours etc...
Has anyone experience on a C4 S4? I am pretty certain that it is not a connection behind the dashboard at fault. Would the sender be located on the same place as the S2?

Does it drop all the way to nothing or does it bounce? The speedo on my V8 would bounce around every so often and it turned out the be dry joints on the circuit boards in the cluster. I stripped it down and resoldered them and the problem never came back. There are some details on the SJM website (can't get the link as I'm at work)
