The hood is for sure a no go. The headlamps are something that should be changed if you don't want you car to look funny. On my project I really didn't want to buy new wings and repeaters and thought about it for a long time before coming to the decision to do it right. There are those that will debate whether or not it's worth it, but to me it's a "do it right or don't do it at all" affair.

As a result, the UrS6 lenses are actually contoured in 3D to accomodate the UrS6(A6) hood (bonnet), as shown here:

Confirmation that the UrS4/S6 headlight lenses will fit on either the UrS4 or UrS6 bucket is implied by the fact that the gasket that seals the lense to the bucket is the same for all C4 headlights, as shown here:
BTDT on the lense swap. In fact I did swapped S6 lenses onto my S4 lights as a work around until I could get e-code lamps. This plan however is not without it's problems. Yes, the lense, outer hood/lamp gasket and the seal fit, but the chromed inner trim surround that borders the edges of the S4 lamp must be removed to facilitate installation of the S6 lense. If you look closely at my previously posted pic you will see that this trim has been removed.

EDIT: The chrome trim is NOT a spare part. Item 10 is a rubber gasket that seals the feadlight to the hood/bonnet/etc.

PNs for the Item 10 UrS4 trim are

      4A0941191 Left
      4A0941192 Right

PNs for the UrS6 Item 10 trim are

      4A0941191A Left
      4A0941192A Right

Incorrect, those are the part numbers for the outer hood/lamp gaskets.

The inner chrome trims are not a spare part.

I'll let it slide this time, just don't let it happen again.

Swapping the lenses would be easy if it weren't for those stinkin' trims. I considered trimming the trims to fit, but never got around to it.

Tom: When you did your S4 to S6 conversion, did you find that the UrS4 headlight wiring connections were different than the UrS6 headlight connections? I know my 93 UrS headlight connectors are different than my 98 C4 Avant headlights (with H1 low, H1 high and H3 fog - like the 97 Canadian UrS6 headlights).

Yes, the connectors are different. The S4 uses a 4-pin connector for the headlamp + a two pin connector for the fog light. The S6 requires a single 5 pin connector that does it all.

I also, for the sake of "euro-correctness", disabled the parking lamp in the front repeater and rerouted the wire to the "city light"
