Well, this vinyl was a drunken bay purchase to do something else. Ive seen carbon effect vinyl before that was very glossy and had little square printed on. not great. This stuff is a sort of vinyl matt, and the effect if pressed into it so it actually has a texture, a lil like the original stuff.
Anyhows, it was piss cheap for hong kong see here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT

£3 and free postage. Only problem is at that size (remember i had no intention of doing this with it!) is that the front ridiculously long doors need two pieces joined to cover them. Although id challenge anybody to find the join.

A quick sketch out of basis sizes and shape and ive plenty left over. Quick warm up with hairdryer makes it go straight and soft. Apply along trim and a little heat makes it super soft so u can push it into corners etc. i use a DS stylus. Trim off excess with scapel, a lil heat to tidy edges and voila!

£3 and 60min work, decent result!

if anybody really wants a photo tutorial ill do another set??

I have tis done to my pillars. Big Lee M did them for me. Look the dogs.... I just have to put them on now. I would love to have them on already but the rear ones are pop riveted on and havent built up the courage to attack my car with a drill. I then need to figure out how to fasten them back on once the old ones are off

Only thing is the cheap stuff won't be UV protected so may fade or discolour. The stuff I use doesn't.
Just some finishing touches to do now
