Which Audi 80 Avants is this trim found on?

Is Perforated leather only on the 3B coupe or did Avants ever have it?

I had it on a 3b S2 coupe but did it come on an avant?

Only ever seen Perforated leather on 3B coupes. Looking at the heater controls that dash is out of a 3B.

I think Gregs Alcantspellitaarea looked nice on his coupe if you was thinking about covering over your panels in your avant..

Funnily enough last week at work I discovered that Audi did fit the perforated leather trim to other members of the 80 family. We have a B4 1.6 80 Saloon thats been sat round the yard since I started work there, I happen to have a look inside and it has said trims, I'm sure their factory as they look exactly the same as the 3B ones other than being diferent dimentions.

Could you ask if i could buy them?

No problem, I'll ask my boss tomorrow. I expect they can be made avaiable as we have another 80 breaker I can replace the trims or door cards with, which will obviously take me a bit of time. My boss is planning on putting the 1.6 back on the road.

I have perf leather in my early ABY Coupe - which would hint it might have been available for early avants.

Not sure about the B3/B4s but I know the C4 100s (including very early S4s) had the perforated "trim" moulded right into the dash, i.e. it was the base trim and was NOT removable. The other trim, e.g. the elm, the carbon fibre and/or the walnut was installed over this moulded-in base trim (through holes made in the perforated "trim"). Here is an example from the November 92 issue of Sports Car International article about the UrS4:

I forgot to take my camara with me yesterday. However I had a better look at them and though they look identical to the 3B items the trim is part of the door card moulding itself. So you would have to use the whole door card and get that retrimed to suit, which maybe more trouble than it's worth. I'll get some photos tomorrow anyway.
