    Footrest for left handers?

Those left handers, do you guys have a footrest in your rides? I've been told a footrest from a 95 90sedan will fit in our cars. Can somebody verify this?
    Martyn? Flexx? Stick?

Ben has given the best answer. There are footrests as standard in the RHD cars. Very useful when you have biiig feet like I do!

        Footrest> How are these installed?

Got one for my CQ and am looking at it. How in Gods name is it installed or even mounted? Anybody with S2's have these installed? Can you post pix on how it's mounted on the carpet or in the carpet?

Looking at the family album the plate is held to the floor and firewall with M6 nuts. Then the cover has 5 clips that hold it to the plate.

I'm at work at the moment so can't sort out a pic for you. I'll try and do it later on. Can you post a pic of what you've got so I can get an idea of what the bits look like?

Picture of a RHD footrest which may help.......

It is mounted on the left hand side of the right hand footwell, pedals just visible above.

Make sure you bolt it in the right place or this could happen!

HA! HA! Loved the pix, poor fellow, anyway....

David it seems the LHD have a more involved setup when it comes to the footrest. It seems it has a bracket that either sits over the carpet, sits under the carpet, or half and half. It has a what appears to be a slightly bent piece of metal shielding that apparently wraps around the fender well and looks to rest against it? It has 2 large bracket holes at the bottom that are angled in such a way as to bolt into the floorboard!? And an even larger hole at the top to which the footrest cover bolts into. There are 2 plastic lugs on the cover that slide into and lock into corresponding holes in the bracket? Are you suppose to hack into the carpeting to mount this contraption?

I would Imagine that is the case. the RHD cars have a slit cut in the carpet to allow the bracket to poke through.
