Has anybody replaced the lower steering column shroud ? It looks like you have to remove the steering wheel ?

did this on mine at the weekend, i dont have an airbag so it is pretty easy to pull the horn bit off and undo the 24mm nut holding the wheel on, with airbag might be a bit more complicated
there are two philips screws holding the lower shroud on that are done from the underneath and it comes of easily, there is also a screw that allows the whole thing stalks and all to come off that might make it a bit easier to get at, this is accesible through the hole in middle of the bottom shroud. it is at a wierd angle, screw is toward passenger side (on mine)
