Interested in this too.I am considering building the rollcage with front and main rollbar. It seems to me that the one with 2 lateral rollbars gives to less space for the head even without helmet. And i am not so tall.Maibe the racing seat will position the driver lower? But if the seat is positioned allmost on the flor it will be to low for the driver i think and the steering colum will need to be positioned lower too..
      What are your experiences?

      Regards,

UR quattro with cage sat on my drive way. What photos do you need? I'll post them as soon as I can. The cage is a Safety Devices 6 point bolt in cage. Just sold one too.
I've had a weld in multi point cage put in my S2.

I've got a USA (LHD) spec Safety Devices 6 point bolt/Weld in cage in the rallywreck if that helps. I can dig out/take some photos if you need them.

Some of the photos were during the instillation, so there were additional bolts or painting etc to be done, but basically the Safety Devices cage is bolt in for the 'A' and 'C' pillars, however it has to 'bolt' to a specially welded in plate at the base of the 'B' pillar... So it's not quite as 'Bolt in' as the paperwork suggests...

A piller and main hoop tubes plates are on 3 planes. The rears tie into the strut housings. Some inspectors dont want the back stays (45' rear bars) terminating on wheel wells for strength.

It has ankle savers too (short tubes going forward to front wheel wells)

Yes its a 4kq but pretty much the same. This is a 4.2 V8 24 hours of lemons car. 24 hours of lemons want at least 24square inches on each plate 'cause most of the crapcans are so rusty. Most others want 16" square minimum

If you want close ups pm me.
