S2 Avant boot space?

Whats the approx dimensions of the boot space in an Avant?

Silly request but has anyone got any pics, either with a large dog or loaded up? We've got a new 4 legged friend arriving in December so I'll be needing a pipe & slippers wagon I reckon..

Hi I can get both my retrievers in the boot of mine.

Or I can get 1 retriever in the boot with a 12" sub box and amp and some bits.

Or I can get both mine, missus' camping bits and the tent, airbed, cooker, duvet surf boards x2 and all surf stuff in the S2 avant for a week away on the coast. Mind you I once managed to get 3 people all our camping stuff and 3 surfboards into my coupe for a 3 day surf trip.... come to think of it not really sure how I managed that one

One thing thoug, A 4 legged friend will be more than happy in the boot of an avant and in my eyes the best type of S2 made :mischeif:

Nice one, thats good to hear. How the bloody hell you got all that gear in the Coupe tho, I struggle with the weekly shop..

Its quite a big dog so he'll need some room, how the hell I've never seen the inside of an avant boot after all these year, i'll never know!!

Well one of the retrievers is a nice tall dog and equally as long and he is perfectly happy in there.

Not really sure how i did all that into a coupe either. i guess you find a way when you buy a board and suddenly have a need to get the thing home.

Darren i would expect Carl (Carl Avant) will see this and post as he has a sizeable pooch but in the meantime i can confirm you can fit a large dog in an avant

Info from the Nov. 17, 1993 Autocar and Motor magazine (comparing an S2 avant/estate to a Volvo T5 estate):

Capacity: Seats up/seats down
S2 = 0.36 m3/0.64 m3
Volvo = 0.79 m3/1.58 m3
(obviously the Volvo is the larger vehicle)
