  • S6 seat runners/bushes

    Hi,
    I've swapped my S6 seats into an A6 2.6 V6 and there's now a bit of play in the driver's seat. From searching posts on here, it looks like I need to replace the plastic/rubber bushes under the seat and/or in the runners.

    I don't suppose anyone has done this in an S6, or knows whether they are the same parts as for an S2?

    Thanks,
    Tom

    Not sure about this but there are two sets of "guide pieces", 2 inner, 2 outer at the rear of the seats according to my friend Kate. She says:

    893881203 = inner (2 required)
    893881203A = outer (2 required).

    She also says that these are very commong across the Audi line as far back as 1988 including Type 44s, C4s and B3s and B4s.

      changed them on my URS6 this summer, had alot of play in the seat and after a quick dismantle and new plastic "spacers" they are rock solid.

      Easy job, just get som grease for the runners...

        Thanks very much indeed for that - greatly appreciated. I don't suppose your friend Kate has some diagrams showing where the guide pieces go?

          Push the seat forward and remove the rear plastic covers on the rail/runner. (2 each seat)

          Then remove the screw or pin in the front and middle of the seat (adjustment arm).

          Lift it in the front and just push the seat all the way back and lift the seat out of the runners or flip it forward. The platic clips is white and black depending if it outer or inner, just bend them away with a flat screwdriver än push on the new ones. Grease everything up and reasemble.

          Good luck
