Re fitting the under steering wheel tray

Is there a trick to this? I just can't get the b*%$£rd thing to fit back in place. The line of 3 bolts line up but the one lower bolt I can't get close, it's serioulsy doing my head in!

As much as I push the tray up it won't go, all I can see that would be blocking it is wiring and fuses.

    Any help much appreciated.

Have you slipped the "fingers" at the bottom in between the pedals properly?

Yes I'm pretty sure I have, the two clips are lining up also, it's just the whole thing won't push up far enough.

Is all the "stuff" hanging down from under the dash out of the way?

there will be a loom or something in the way. Its actually quite funny what a jungle of spaghetti is under there.
I'm looking forward to changing my engine loom so I can tidy it up

I had the same problem, its as though its being forced down but nothing is there! Just try pushing it up firmly without the bolts in or you could break the plastic lugs. Otherwise tighten the 3 top bolts alittle at a time.

wriggle it side to side a bit, it gets caught on the right hand side where it has to sit in the bottom of the dash.

Adjust seat as far back as possible and then, with a sweeping motion, kick it as hard as you can.

i would maybe try to tie the loom and stuff out of the way for a start just to be sure nothing is in the way. I always take the steering wheel off when working under there just to aid access a bit.
