    Will the 1994 S4/S6 Seats fit a 1991 S2 coupe?

    Hello, will the 1993-96 Audi S4/S6 front and rear seats fit the 1991 Audi S2? I heard the front will but not sure about the back if I can squeeze them in. Anyone try? Thanks.

    The fronts will not. The track rails are way too narrow in a coupe for the wide track of the S4 S6 seats. The rear bench seat to also too wide and the seat backs are split fold in a coupe. THey are a solid single seat back in a S4.

      fronts do fit,but you need to swap the seat mechanism from a coupe onto the s6 seat bases.have a look for a thread by 'acidburn' a couple of years back.i dare say rear could be made to fit,but major surgery would be needed,better off getting your present rears recovered

                Thanks. That saves me some time trying to make them fit. I'm now thinking to reupholster my seats using the seat foams from the S4/S6 but I know that will cost a lot money. I like what some of you have done using other seats in the Audi 80/90/ coupes. Any more cool ideas to upgrading the coupes seats please share. Great link.
                Thanks,

                  I am sure the coupe backrest will fit the urS4/6 seat base, so you can use a hybrid of the two. The urS backrest is just taller and has slightly bigger bolsters

                    I know a fellow in Edmonton Alberta who installed UrS4/S6 seats in his 1993 B4 Audi 90 sedan. I can find out what he had to do. What I remember was it was very very tight and to use the electric adjustments, he had to open the door because there was not enough room between the seat and the door panel to get his hand down there when the door was closed.

                      Got the answer:

                      "Dave: The seats will fit. Just need to make very accurate measurements to cut off the C4 seat guides and weld them at a narrower width. I don't remember the exact measurement though I'm pretty sure I did note it somewhere; I think it exists on Audiworld someplace. But yes it is a tight fit, I made a slice in the carpet along the transmission tunnel because the corner of the seat frame was jamming into it. As well your comment re: the seat adjustments v. door card are accurate. Because my original seats were manual the floor pan didn't have the bolt pedastiles for the front feet, so that's something I had to build. A car with power seats would provide a easier/quicker platform for the UrS seat transplant. I'm pretty sure the feet spacing & orientation are the same between B4 and C4 seats, though I don't know this for a fact.

                        Manual urs4 seats replacing manual s2 seats is easy.

                        As said above, turn the seats up side down and just swap the bases over

                        They fit in an s2 fine (a bit less space than stock though);

                          How can I remove headrest plastic inserts from the seat? I have remove'd upper plastic caps above and backrest fabric. Now I have to get these parts out 447881920A http://trshop.audi.de/konakart/Selec...IDE&model=0001

                            You need to squeeze them from inside the seat with pliers, for instance, so that they would be released and could go out.
                            So, You have to put off the back plate of the seat backrest at least.

                              Th plastic trim just clips off with a screwdriver etc. Then there is an R-clip you need to remove so you can pull out the headrest
