    Floor carpet solution?

    Hi everyone

Well. My car likes to kick me in the balls. I think it has a fondness for my balls. The heater core went in my car. After countless times of having the dash out. You would think I would know to pay attention to the heater core issuse. Nope too much into hp. Smells like piss now in my car . I want to install black carpet vs the gray that is currently in there. I looked into carpet prices online and it's rediculusly expensive.

    What are my options?

Does some company make an aftermarket carpet replacement? I want to do this to my other coupe too.

    Thanks
    Josh
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?

Have you tried going to some restoration specialists, maybe they can trim the car up for you for a not too rediculous price. Failing that how about a knife and a trip to the local carpet depot

Good luck, smelly carpet is awful, spent ages once i bought mine trying to rid it of the musty smell it had, thankfully didnt smell of piss though...lucky!!!

Hi Josh, I took my smelly carpets out and pressure washed them! they came up like new. The carpets are the same as the saloons which may help in the breakers. If you have the strengthened floor ribs then look for a saloon which has the same. just check carefully and you may find one. I have made carpets by cutting and stitching them, It is a hugh amount of work but if you are careful then it can be done.

      Good luck

        hi josh,
i'm in the same predicament at mo. i think the audi 80 carpet fits, so i would suggest sourcing one of these from a breakers. I have been quoted around 50 squids for a 1994 carpet - i think thats reasonable otherwise if ur current ones in good nick - just get it jet washed or summit.

Scrap yard in Northwich near me charges £10 for an audi 80 carpet! That's the one I'm trying to get time to remove.

£50 out may be OK as a price.... It's not a 5 minute job.
