Just the rear seat belts. ISOfix came in long after Audi ceased production on the RS2...

Not sure if this would work on a B4 RS2 chassis but for the C4 100/A6 S4/S6 avant chassis, there was a factory TSB for retrofitting a metal "D" loop to attach a tether from the a child seat in the middle of the back seat of an avant.

Yeah I thought that might be the case. Was hoping someone had retro fitted harness points to a RS2 or S2 before, I can't be the only one with toddlers.

I have come across these brackets, but I think the RS2 rear seats are too close to the body at that point to fit them. May have to have another look though. Ta

I have two in the back of mine.... a pair of MaxiCosi Priori XP's for use with a 3-point seatbelt. Only takes a few minutes to get it in tight. They have good leg room (no feet in the back of your head) and as such we use the RS2 for longer journeys now over the Golf!

The extra issues arise when you want three in the back.

Tell me about it... no. 3 arrives in August! C5 A/S/RS 6 seems to be the answer :mischeif:

                  Hi Ross,
Have to have fixed points bolted to the body, part of roadworthy regulations in Australia.

Hmm, what kind of morons make these rules, the 3-point belt systems are solid if you get a decent seat and make sure it's tight... far more durable than a small tether as per the pic

I had a brief look into the multimac systems over here (a custom 3-seater child seat) and they use tethers that bolt on to the seatbelt anchor points, looked pretty universal to me, perhaps something like that could be fit for the purpose?

I agree, and really the seat belt through the capsule does all the work. The harness point is only for a bracing tether that goes round the capsule. But as I'm going for compliance approval I have to do as they ask.

                        Hi Andrew,
Not an RS2 but my Aus delivered S2 coupe has harness points right at the back of the 'boot' floor. 3 holes with a nut welded in below them and a belt with a D loop at one end (as shown above for the C4) bolted onto one of them.

I reckon an option would be to get a fixing into the luggage floor area. You might just need an extension belt to reach it depending on the seat.

I've also heard of an imported UK coupe having anchor points fixed to a strut brace added to between the rear suspension towers to get through the registration process.

I should have noted that I *HAD* to add that D-loop to my 98 C4 A6 Avant as part of the importation requirements when I brought it in from the US to Canada. (The irony is 1994-1997 C4 100/A6 avants imported from Germany to Canada by Audi Canada did NOT have the D-loops. Such irony was not recognized by Transport Canada )

                            Hi mouse

The D loop option is looking the best at the moment, as long as it's neat and takes up minimal floor space when they're being used.
