How does the avant boot side trim come off?

I need to remove the piece of trim that goes from the rear seat back to the brake lights (past the battery).

I have taken off the seatbelt guide, the catch for the rear folding seat, and the luggage hook things on the bottom, but the thing still won't budge.

Am I missing something or do I just need to use more brute force?

I took that same cover last week, the hard part is to put it back in place

First push it outwards, pulling from the bottom, to release the plastic springs ( not shure this is the correct term). Then it slides up.

Also the trunk rubber has to be detached where it holds the cover.

I could get some pics later if you cant remove it.

        They are similar to this

But even when they are broken the cover holds in place, because it's held by the luggage hooks and the boot rubber. Probably the cover is not properly fixed at the top, next to the window, making it loose.

as Andr3x states the panel is held on by plastric trim fasteners and you do need to remove the boot rubber surround. This trim panel is also clipped onto the rear body side just underneath the rear side windows by clips which come loose if you pull the panel upwards.
The trim fasteners that andr3x shows are not exxactly correct - the correct ones are double keyed - one end clips into the trim panel whilst the other end clips into the holes in the bodywork. You can get them in packs from your dealer.

Ok, how do I detach the plastic strip along the bottom of the boot?
Apart from that, the only thing holding the trim on seems to be in the seatbelt corner. I just need to figure out which way to wiggle it to dislodge it...

Remove the luggage tie downs - there are two of them, lift the chrome part up and you will find 2 really long allen bolts underneath

                I have the luggage tie-downs removed. It's the plastic slam-panel I can't get off.

Forgot that! Yes the boot seal rubber will need lifting too then it should come out

Great. Got the thing off eventually. It was the front upper clip that caused the problem. It held very well!

Turns out I could get to J124 without removing the trim.
But when I found the below pictured next to the battery I needed to remove the trim to replace this piece.

                      Thanks for your help.
