Need help with a C4 UrS Instrument Cluster post

I am going to revise the current UrS4/S6 model year changes by year document and I want to include a link to a comparison of instrument clusters. I am hoping that some of you folks/chaps/leute can help me. I need good (well focused, clear) photos of an UrS4 UK cluster, a European UrS6 cluster and a UK UrS6 cluster. I would be too embarrassed to take a pic of mine, its peeling apart badly. Have some pics of the inside if they are of interest as we ditched the clock and added the volt gauge to ours. http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showpos...30&postcount=8

A friend here has an Automatic S6 if you want a pic of the gear display, and im almost sure it has gloss black gauge surrounds instead of silver, but it is an S6+ spec car with blacked out chrome etc.

Hey don't be embarassed. I just won't give you credit for the photo and it will show an example of a peeling gauge face. I am intrigued about switching the clock out for the volt meter. Any write ups, photos etc?

Do not know if it is good place to ask,but i would like to sort out my euro urs4 autoceck problems.Sometimes is working when cold outside,sometimes showing nothing and beeping and making trip computer to show L at miles to empty tank or no display on trip comp..
80% of time autoceck not working,not beeping and trip comp working fine.
One time auto ceck showed radio info on it
Redone almost all soldering on dash board,tried to change with a 2.8 dash,NOTHING

I am intrigued about switching the clock out for the volt meter. Any write ups, photos etc?

Trick is to use audi 200 aux gauges PCB because it has all the connections for volt meter, oli temp and oil pressure. Harder part is getting the aux voltmeter or oli pressure gauge from S6/S4 as they need to be white. Last problem would be backlight colour because UrS4 is slightly more orange than UrS6 but that could be solved by using red SMD B8.5 led bulbs for lightning.

For my UrS6 i have the oli pressure gauge and 200 PCB waiting to be installed in car, i'm still looking for oli pressure sender and warmer weather to do that (not fun working on war with -10c outside).

UrS4boy,the picture from UK urS6 cluster should be from run-out model of S6, because it has the same black chrome that the S6+ has. Early MY1995 (09.1994, like my car) had the same non ringed facia as the UrS4 had, the rings were introduced with MY1995.5, AFAIK the black chrome was only on S6+ and RHD Run-out models. Not the best picture of MY1995 non ringed UrS6 clocks

On related topic, does anyone have schematic how I could wire the automatic gearbox display up to display R and D gears with manual gearbox (the relic is still in from the automatic gearbox, so i'd use that for something useful), plan is to get it to display at least constant "D" and switch to "R" when I select reverse. According to schematic it only has 4 pins: GND, switched +12V, +12v for lights and one connection from autobox ecu. What sort of signal it could expect from autobox to change the display letter?
