The sky. Really. Or the heater core. The S2 has what is called a "water box" under the cowl, under the hood/bonnet. It has a drain. The drain can clog and water can build up in there until it crests the edge of the water box, cascading water into the passenger compartment through various openings in the firewall (supposedly sealed but not 100%). In the case of the C4 UrS4/S6 this is a notorious cause of ECU death by drowing. I don't know the exact details for the B4 S2 but I offer this write-up about the C4 water box cowl drain as a guide for your search:

Where's the pollen filter/housing on a LHD? I know that when mine (RHD) had water inside it was getting in through there, caused by the trim that runs long the bottom of the windscreen not being fitted quite right.
Shocked, exhausted, hosed, bushed, dumped, chipped, mounted, filtered, gauged, packed, intermittantly wiped and braked. I mean broken. Now, about the car...

i am looking to around this hole and found a few cracks, i dont know if its the place where are the leaks. So i clean and then paint it . On the drives place it looks good,no cracks and no dirty,so i just paint it too

this week i want and try to get out a carpet and see it,how its look like and from where, water came from, but i hope, that it will be from the cracks
