Headlining

Out of interest has anyone had any success before retrimming a headlining and getting it to stick and stay up?

There was a user with an avant who did a poker themed headlining but I don't think that lasted that long.

Interesting I was looking at this earlier, I would love to do mine in alcantara one day.
Apparently the quality of the adhesive makes all the difference

yeah think thats who it was. Unfortunately his cars now broken and it didn't have that headlining in it when it was broken.

@ alex - yeah i've been trying to find out what glue/contact adhiesive the specialist retrimmers use.

Its got to be worth a shot, i've got a spare headlining I can mess with.

u want the one that carpet layers use to glue underlay down with sticks like sh*t to a blanket !

Knew I'd seen it somewhere: you need high temp adhesive for the headlining or it will sag over time.

I took the wife 'n' kids down there for a short break - very nice, but didn't meet any vehicle re-trimmers there
