    Sagging alcantara ??

    Hi,

Have noticed that the alcantara on my RS2 door cards is sagging and comming away from its backing, behind is a dusty brown material ???

Has anyone else had this problem and what would be the fix ?

Is the alcantara trimmed panel removeable so I can refit it, would normal upholstery glue do it ?

    Appreciate any advice...

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi,

That´s normal due to age the "foam" that lays under the alcantara as rotten away, you have to remove the door card and then remove the carbon/wood trim and the door pocket, after that remove the alcantara and clean the rotten caramel like stuff and buy a piece off 5mm foam from a uphulster shop and cut it to size and fit it first to the door card and then glue the alcantara on top of it, use apropriate high temperature contact glue on both processes so it doesen´t become unstuck when exposed to the sun!
