    Coupe rear seat hinges HELP!!

    Eyup,

im refitting the interior in my coupe today and I have leather rears from an S2 to fit but the outer hinges on both sides do not line up with the peg or pivot on the body.

Any ideas? Doesnt look like the parts numbers for the hinges are different from the original ones by year, but i dont have them to hand to compare side by side.

Do i have the wrong bits or is something missing??
    Its driving me potty.

I recently put a set of leathers in my coupe and had to swap the metal bits on the sides (pictured) to make them fit. the ones on my original seats were smaller. Hope that helps

            Bump.

Anybody else had any trouble refitting seats? Ive got hold of a pair of hinges the same vintage and spec as the ones originally fitted and theyre exactly the same as these ones that are miles off.

I must be doing something wrong.

If youve ever removed or installed seats, I would like to know exactly what you did, please.

              Hi Kieron,

I cant remember weather it was all the hinges i changed or just the outer ones. The ones I had were definitely different. Take the metal hinge strip off the side of the seat and see if you can get it to go on. They should go on dead easy. When they are screwed to the seat they are a bit more difficult.

I've just fitted my 95 s2 seats into a 96 coupe, the hinges were different. I swapped the outer hinges and all was well. I'll put up the different part numbers tomo.

The part number you want is 895 885 161 C thats for the N/S outer seat hinge. I havent got the O/S one but i expect it will be 162 C or 160 C

Have you got a picture of the difference shaun? Seems a bit odd having different part numbers seemingly randomly...

Cheers shaun, it appears that they are the ones i need. The distance between the pivot and the slot is bigger.

                          Anybody have a set forsale?

So is it the bigger ones you are after? If so they might be the ones I took off mine. I'll have a look when I get home tonight for you.
