Hand brake cover - Leather options?

I hate how the RS2 has a plastic handbrake, has anyone come up with a solution to this? Do any later model or more luxurious Audis models have a leather hand brake cover that will fit?

I fitted one from an s6 to my Rs2, fits fine. I have seen two types on eBay, one is just a cover, the others are a new handle which has been covered. I tried the handle covered in leather but the leather was a bit hard so I got the s6.

                      I Vasilis.

Can you tell me how you removed the handle and the trim?
I had a look in the procedure on an online VAS but it seems to me that you must cut (bottom square plastic sleeve?) the long trim in order to get it off.

                      Any hints much appreciated

                      Thanks
                      Stefano

As I had the new leather part I didn't mind wrecking the old one to find out

So the holder plastic bit has a clip that lies under the beginning of the leather trimmed part.
Its very difficult to unclip it.but you can squeeze a flat screwdriver between the 2 then go under the border of the plastic clip and lift it up while pulling forwards the grabhandle. That's the only way I can think of not destroying the plastic back cover where now I have it in leather.

I bet though that the back leather cover can be pushed slightly back to reveal the clip and then its easier to release the grab handle from the front

Vas, just to be clear, is this the S6 cover or the cabriolet version you fitted?
