Im looking at purchasing poor boys aby interior for my 3b coupe. I have leather but prefer the look of the aby trim.i know the slide adjust lever on later seats is on opposite side to mine. What is the most factory way people have found to overcome this...?
I saw one chap Martin had made some adaptors for the floor fixture which look very trick.
It's easy to swap the lever from left to right don't worry about it. done it on a few seats only takes a few mins. Some seats have the lever mounts on both side some need a mount cutting off and tacking on the other side. But it's not hard.

U can actually remove the subframe by removing the height adjust springs (careful they're strong) and removing the clips on the pivot points and the pivot pins and only remove the bottom frame section of each seat. I would recommend doing that if your swapping the seats between two cars. No
Cutting and welding just a coupe of clips and pins.

did this today without swapping seat subframes or welding on a new tab on the other side, basically used a exhaust hanger strip (or perforated metal strip) with holes large enough to accept the diameter of the adjustment rod
disconnect the adjustment rod (2 selftappers hold it via a bracket to the seat frame) and disconnect spring from the middle runner to the rod.
wrap/bend the metal strip round the rear bar of the seat trying to replicate approx the height and position of the welded tab on the other side of the middle runner, nut and bolt through strip to secure it to the seat frame, (leaving one perforation at top of strip to accept adjustment rod)
move the rod to the other side of the middle runner secure rod with bracket using the 2 screws , (holes are predrilled ) insert rod into strip making adjustment as required (checking that rod runs equidistant to the centre bracket from rear to front of seat). tighten nut and bolt on the metal strip, reattach the spring from the middle runner to the adjustment rod
