    SOS HMS Coupe

I came out to my Coupe this morning to be greeted with 1 cm of water under the throttle pedal side of the footwell. The carpet under the driver's seat and the rear passengers footwell have been soaked. The car has been on the road for a month in the crappiest rain and it's ONLY today I got the shock of this deluge. Up to now the vehicle has been as dry as a bone. It's a daily driver so I would have noticed this issue instantly. There was no puddle of water behind the driver's seat so I'm suspecting driver's front O/S area. (my fusebox lid is tight).
It's parked in the same spot as usual, on a slight slope with its bonnet slightly higher than the rear end. The passenger's side carpet is bone dry.
My headlining is bone dry, so sunroof is not to blame??
I need help as I have now soaked all of my spare towels to mop up.
Admittedly I have been caning it in the wet weather lately (due to a now quiet, replacement rear diff being fitted). Have I dislodged some plastic bung in my wheel arch or something else?
I have put a cover over the car tonight in an attempt to remove gravity water ingress.
Have any other forum members has had this upsetting problem?

I don't know if this works for an S2 coupe or not but there similar issues with the C4 UrSs. Here are these two issues that we have with the C4 UrS:

    1. Cowl Drain - gets clogged with leaves and crud. Water builds up in the water box and then spills into the passenger compartment. In the C4 case, the water comes in just above the ECU, typically flooding and oftening killing it. As a result, I wrote this post (you might be able to use the idea to track down your problem):

    The Audi Enthusiast website. Forums for all Audis including A4, S4, A5, S5, A6, S6, allroad, A8, S8, TT, R8, Q5, Q7, 4000, 100, 200, v6, v8, vintage, local forums

    2. Sunroof drains. I know you think your are fine but it is worth confirming that they are not clogged. I have suggested using that bright fluorescent green grass trimmer plastic "string" to rod out the four drains. Others here have suggested using an old speedometer cable. Either way, you should run something down all four drains (four corners of the sunroof cassette) and make sure that the drains are clear and so they can be eliminated from "further enquiries".

This diagram is for a C4 but the S2 coupe diagram is very similar.

Check out the rubber grommet for the bonnet release cable at the side of your fusebox.

..... And the mastic/seal around the fusebox base - is the door seal good?

Coupe's leak from so many places but the water never seems to leak back out. The windscreens are fitted with rivets down both sides. During a half ****d window replacement they don't change all the rivets which in turn causes many problems. Have you any rust spots at the top of the screen indicating that the front screen may have been changed at some stage?
