    door card inserts advice please!

i have changed the interior in my coupe today. i had bought a later aby leather and carbon interior. i noticed that a couple of the clips on drivers door card are broken today. the card i took off was perfect.
i want to keep the smooth leather insert panel and carbon but use the card from my old interior which has all clips.
i know the carbon just un clips so that's easy.
does anyone know if insert leather panel can be taken off to swap over?

yes although its got a scrim foam backing and its glued on, so would need to be glued onto your old door card.
IMHO the old style stitched leather door cards look better anyway, just add the carbon to them

i thought about keeping old stitched leather but found the smooth leather suited the more modern seats. my brother is having my old leather so would use his old cloth card as my base if that makes sense. so does trim just lever out and re glue? don't want to damage anything for a couple of clips

The panel does not actually come out of the door card.
The leather/material is actually glued to the door card with the sponge type stuff behind.

You can do it if you are careful but it's a job to sit and take your time with.

As above would stick to the early door cards with the carbon put on

AFAIK it's just glued on. Peel it off gently you should be fine
