Avant 3rd Brake light ?

Hi,

I want to fit a 3rd brake light to my RS2 but dont want to fit a rear spoiler, has anyone done it before and what parts do I need. Is there a particular donor car (aud ornot) which give a good match up ?

There is not much space to work with on the tailgate trim but figure it must be possible ??

Any suggestions ??

Yes, that was me, I am still looking at options. you had yours fitted to the headlining trim but I am wondering if there is a version that will fit to the tailgate trim. There is no shortage of thin light units, it is the trim to cover it and fix it to the tailgate is the problem.

I have a B5 tailgate trim that has the brakelight built in but it is a very different shape, have trimmed it down so that it is close but looks a bit "home made" (which it is !) There must be a light and trim that is a good match for the tailgate of our Avants !

Did Audi ever do one for the B4 Avant ???

There's a third brake light on my avant, the previous owner fitted it.
It's from a mk4 golf and sits nicely at the top of the glass.

I've got a spoiler with LED brake light that I'll eventually get around to fitting to my Avant. It's the wiring that's put me off so far as I'm not much of an electrician. Any pointers would be a great help.

Ive got a factory 3rd brake light in my RS2.
Ill post pics if you want? I thought they must have been standard on all Avants?
