Have any members successfully fitted the aux gauges into a dirty diesel 80? Ie, fitted, illuminated, and reading accurately. Thanks Ross

I fitted older style (3 seperate gauges) in friends B4 TDI and newer ones in mine non-TDI.
Got any problems to fit them?

No problem with the fitting of them, they're sitting in place nicely. I just wondered what parts were needed to get the oil pressure and temp reading, and the battery voltage. Also how to go about doing this.

You need oil temp sender, oil pressure sender (the big fat one with 2 pins) and some wires.

Okay are these parts generic throughout the petrol range or do they need to be from a particular model. Also are the brackets for these parts required too?

They are generic and no brackets needed. Pressure sender replaces existing one, for temp sender take out blanking bolt (? i don't know how it's called in english ) and just put it in.

Temp sender is the small one with red wire, pressure sender is on the right.

Thanks for picture, is the engine bay shown that of a 1z tdi? The wiring loom from the gauges themselves, where does this lead to and is this plug and play or in need of adaptation? Thanks for your help!

It's ABT, but 1Z is pretty much the same. I made all wiring by myself, so i don't know exactly where oem wiring goes, but if you have soldering iron, its easy to wire them up - one wire from each sender, everything else (constant 12v, ignition 12v, illumination, ground) you can find in radio and console buttons wiring.

Okay, I only have the gauges no wiring. If its easier to do own wiring I'll maybe look into this if your willing to guide me through it. My electrical skills and experience are pretty much non existant!
