I need to remove the leather trim and foam from one of the sides of the seats of the recaro seat. Reason is that the metal frame is probably broken and i need to fix it.
Are there any photos or guide as to how you remove the leather pieces and foam to get to the metal frame of the seat?
The centre section of the base removes quite easily, unscrew the metal base frame (6 bolts), remove all trim and unplug wires, there are two large R clips that hold the centre leg adjuster to metal rods, looking from the bottom pull these out sideways and it should then come away quite easily. I've not tried removing the side bolsters but this should give good access. That pdf isn't working btw.
As above the middle squab comes off easily, there is a plastic piece that hooks into a recess in the base at the rear, and it is velcro'd in along the sides. then remove the R clips from the leg support and slide it off the runners, the centre squab comes with it. The side bolster covers are held on with adhesive & trim wires clipped into metal tabs on the seat base. Once that they are off you will be able to remove the foam bolsters & get to the metal frame, which will need welding I guess.
IIRC the foam bolsters are available as spares should you need to replace them.

I see. However the rs2 is unique. I cannot find the same one to get from them.
Edit: gave them a ring. They don't think the bolsters they have would do. But they are happy for me to take measurements and send them to see if the piece they have would come close to it.
Otherwise its a case of having a retrimming shop do it manually for you

Its the electrical switches on the side that make the bolster a bit bigger or have to have a hole for it. Hopefully the bolster they have would do by simply making a hole on the foam to accomodate the switches
