    Racingseats - how to install?

poor topic but lets try! Want to install bucketseats in my S2, but cant find a frame to use, and not to keen to destroy the original seats to make it happen. Does anyone have any idea where i can buy these frames or have for sale in here? Been looking on both Recaro, Sparco and OMP seats.

best idea is find some crappy old seats from a stock coupe and cut them up to make a pair of subframes

For proper buckets, to get them really low you should look at welding in rails to the floor and fixing them in place. Otherwise, what Error404 said. I was looking at a design a while back, after I had some made for an S4 but never got round to it.

I managed to get hold of a second hand set of recaro subframes for mine. welded sidemounts to those allowing me to sit the buckets in a slightly lower position than stock so my crash helmet cleared the roofline but not so low it made it like a go kart seat trying to see over the steering wheel

Second hand recaro seat frames (quattrostyle seems to be the man for locating these)

Skull made some nice DIY ones from a stock subframe

Stiglets version (I tried this first, its too high, you need to set the cross bars further back like Skull as that lowers the seat)

On mine I used a similar location for the crossbars to Skull, but used box for the rear bar and flat bar for the front.

Or weld in crossbars and mount the seats or seats on sliders to them. Much more permanent though.

Had only one set in about a year, I'm sure another set will turn up soon or late but can't promise unfortunately.

                      Hi guys!
I have now found these two options, but I cant work out which one that will fit my car. It says that the one option for S2 does not fit type 89/B4. As far as I know, my coupe is typ89. Anyone have any ideas on this issue?? Yes the picture is not of the actual subframe.

Go for the custom route using original parts, the 'options' above are a waste of money.

The examples given in this thread are for Recaro seats, where are the mounting points on your seats?
