    interior swap - b3 / b4

    evening all,

Just a quick question regarding swapping interiors.

    I have a b4 80 and have found a nice interior from a b3 audi 90, just wondering if it'll fit?
The rear seats in my 80 fold down but I think the 90s seats sit against a firewall. can the rear backs be made to fit?

    cheers,

    Andy

Base is almost plug & play (B4 seat has bigger holes for safety belt buckles). For backrest - there is nowhere to attach it as B4 has no wall behind it. But if you bend it's frame a little bit, then it sits in place nicely.
      B3 90 seat in my B4:

Hi all , just thought I'd ask the reverse ?
        Would a b4 rear seat fit into a b3 ?
        Cheers

my "rack of eye" says yes but my aby coupe was kind of b3/b4 really I suppose.

it looks size wise like it will fit my b3. the folding bit may be an issue. im gonna try to fit the coupe seats into the b3 salon. I await a break in the weather as Id rather do it outdoors.

i think it would require some brackets welding into the back to stop the seats from folding flat. Also the bracket would need fitting in the centre of the base for a hinge.

a bit of custom I think as you say.

id be fitting mine as fixed due to the tank being behind the seat.

Another option, put a set of B5 S4 seats into a B3, that works, I've done it, better fit than B4 seats as well

B5S4 rears or fronts, or both?

Interested because I have access to some rear seats.

I used rears with ABY fronts, usefully, made a "how to" on my project thread!
