How to remove rear fold down seats in a coupe?

Does anyone have tips on removing the rear fold down seats on a coupe?

Did a search but no joy.

slide the plastic covers off from between seats (seats will need to be half folded or it hits the roof)
You will see 2 x phillips screw heads (if they have never been removed they will be bloody tight)

as already said. between the two seats is the fold down metal hinge. its in two halves around 40cm long. slide the plastic covers out lengthways.
when you see the 4 screws (two each side) use the right size screwdriver head first time.
as already mentioned if they haven't been out before they'll be tight and usually have a bit of locktight on. use a long screwdriver with plenty of torque.
don't risk using the wrong screwdriver and chewing up the head of the screw.

I would suggest using a screw driver bit in a ratchet, they are incredibly tight and locktite'd in there.

I normally just undo the allen key bolt/pivot (36/37) in this diagram and lift the whole lot out.

I don't think you can access these bolts Andy if the backrest cushions are in place

I had to take mine out as Alex and others have said.
Done mine and it was a nightmare undoing the screws
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

I couldn't slide the plastic covers off and had to destroy them unfortunately. Those screws underneath are a right b**ch to get out no matter what screwdriver is used, but the impact screwdriver bit in a ratchet worked a treat and got them all out easy.

                Thanks for the tips everyone
