This is 98 onwards wheel. To fit it you will need adapter also visible in picture. Adapter is oem from VW but I don't have it anymore so can't tell part number. Horn, airbag and turn cancel will not work unless you get everything behind wheel from late Cabrio (they has this wheel) or do some modifications.
I also wanted to fit this wheel, but couldn't figure out what to do with horn and turn cancel, so I sold it and got pre 98 wheel.

RS2 has 968 wheels and wing mirrors, however yes could look a little odd

I don't think that will fit, I'm on about the 10 big dimples on the area outside the badge on pre 98 wheels. Can't link on my phone but google B5 sport steering wheel and you will see both types.

It's the one with the dimples i.e. the one I posted a picture of in post 1 of this thread. It should arrive mid week

Did you get the b5 wheel fitted yet? The difference between the early and late wheels is the diameter of the shaft where the wheel bolts on, and the 98 onwards had much finer splines. Easy way to tell is looking at the airbag, early models had dimples around the Audi badge, and late spec had a smooth finish.

Hmmmmm wouldn't that a bit out of place in an Audi?

How about a 968 steering wheel? Same boss as a 944 which has same boss as Audi, indicator cancel is even the same

I trust it wasn't from 1998 or newer.

Bought a B5 wheel off eBay. After it arrives next week I'll report on how I manage to f*** up the simple task of fitting it on my S2 Avant thread

I may even buy one of those Momo ones or a Nardi one in future and have a range to choose from for each week of driving

I know for a car of that spec/cost etc the lack of wheel adjustment is shocking! Get that Nardi wheel - And keep the old wheel if you ever want to sell the car on as original!!

Not really, I think it's kinda ugly I do love the feel of the wheel itself though, and those B5 ones look to have a similar rim.

The speedo issue wouldn't be so bad if the wheel had any height adjustment... or reach for that matter! When I first picked the car up I felt like I was sitting a bit high - and you've seen me, I'm not a tall guy - but I'm completely used to it now
