    urS4 cluster bulbs ?

My bulbs are so weak i can barely see the dash at night.

I did a fair bit of searching but came to the conclusion that LED's are not a great upgrade due to how direction the light beam is.

Has anybody had the same problem and if so, how did you over come it?

We replaced most (but not all) of the 1.2W bulbs with 2.0W Osram bulbs.

Here is a post that will give you some directions:

Here is a post for doing the same thing to a 96 A6 (similar but different cluster), that shows how to remove the cluster:

You say the bulbs are low is that even with the dim switch turned up to full. I know if I turn the dim switch to lowest you can hardly see the dash.

Yeah it didn't change it that much.

        I've order 20 x 2w bulbs.

We'll see how it looks afterwards

Jeremy: You don't need 2W bulbs everywhere just in the 10 or so locations that are pointed out in the information that I provided. More than that is unnecessary and will prove to be annoying to you.

            D,

            It's Jesse haha.

And I could only buy 20, so 20 it was.

I'll put the rest up on here or give them away to someone local.

Sorry. I knew that. I was probably thinking Top Gear. Which I am about to watch.

The dimmer "switch" is the stalk on the left side of the instrument cluster (on a LHD UrS):
