hi guys I have recovered the headlining on my S2 also the sun roof panel but cannot figure out how it tilts I followed the threads but do any of you fine guys have any photos of the tilt set up the 2 locating pins are ok ,but it has pulled the 2 guides off the panel so HELP
Thought as much am trying to source a fresh interior panel does the panel slide under the lugs at the front cause that's what happened when I went to tilt the inner panel was to rigid and bang the clips went off so I need a photo of how the panel looks in place
u tilt the metal panel and feed the fabric panel through from the back , as you do it you can see the locating lugs , first you line the flat ones up and then you sit in the car and locate the front clips , once all four are located you push the fabric panel evenly untill it clicks into place
Hi I did all that I think the headline material I have used is too thick it made the sunroof panel too stiff to flex easily , the tilt lugs were not good to start with so I think its been too much for them to hold .
derekco I made exactly the same mistake with mine, to overcome the issue with the clip i removed the material and fitted two small self tapping screws in underneath to fix the plastic guides back into place.
You need to use more flexible material to allow it to tilt up, still not 100% happy with it so im looking for a replacement panel
