Can anyone that has dismantled savants recently knows where the cable is going out to the engine bay? Is it driver or passenger side?

Thanks. So it must be a mirror image on the LHD. Do you have any photos of where it goes into the cabin? Is it close to the ecu, or does it come in from the same holes that the air con has?Comment

Might not be similar to the avant, but on the LHD S2 coupe I broke the cable ran along the passenger side near the ECU into the beam (don't know if that's the correct word) and through the beam into the engine compartment to come out near the engine mount.Comment

I have seen in old photos of there being a plastic cover particularly for the cable running in the cabin. I just don't remember which side. Once I lift the rear seats It may be revealed. I'm just not sure out of which hole the cable enters the engine compartment on the avant. Seems pretty plausible to be near the ECU area.Comment

Ok. I found a photo of Oliver Sprenger's old audi 80 B3 rs2 when he was making it and there is a tiny independed hole for the battery cable which lies closer to the side wall than the AC connections. So that should be the same on the rs2. Also has a grommet so ill wait to see if the new cable has that on by default, as well as if there is this connection of the cable which changes diameter as mentioned on the other threadComment
