plastic cover removal from instrunent pod

Hi, has anyone managed to get the plastic cover off the instrument cluster without it cracking?

    If so, any tips appreciated

    Thanks

Are you talking about the clear plastic part that covers the black plastic part and the gauges/clocks?

Look for threads by S2 bo, as he used to sell dial rings and carbon inserts and did some fitting guides.

Not bad matey, need to get hold of a petrol gauge as I couldnt swap the one Phil gave me...need a non VDO one now. Ive got two sets now, ones with white dials I hot via Rusty, and another set which Ive develop with Mavi, these have got laminated faces with lights shining on them rather than behind them....just trying out different LED mood lighting at the mo.

Cheers for the info Rusty :-) its the carbon inset I was looking at.

I'm sure that Phil still has the non-VDO gauge speedo. be worth asking..

This is what they look like at the moment, as Rusty aludes to Id like the carbin fiber bezel and chrome rings to go with it, just read that you pass the bezel through the larger holes...fancied trying 3m on it so needed the plastic cover to come off.

Nearly there now with my dials, just need to do some tweaking to the rpm and speedo as the needles are in the wrong place.

Need to sort out two bulbs on the lower vdos, I put nee LED lights behind the blower dials looks much better now.

This kit is well worth the money

And heres my coupe as she currently stands...

Just need to get those alloys sprayed white now to match the dials
