I would've thought 20 at the very least as that's how many valves most of our cars have, Although yours has more so you should be able to at least manage that amount?

I think you want to ask a different question, like "What steering wheels will fit on my B3/B4 with 4 spoke air bag?"

It's not just the number of splines, it is the diameter of the tapered and splined shaft that is also very important.

Sorry for the confusion, what I'm after knowing is what after market steering wheel boss will fit my 93 80 non airbag as they say they fit audi but that's a bit vague as I know they are not all the same.

Is a complete 3 spoke coupe steering wheel with boss any use? I have one with scabby leather I would let go cheap.

It could be but I have a bare 3 spoke wheel but no boss or horn button and I would like to use it as no one wants to buy a bare wheel.

£10 plus postage (whatever royal mail charges), has the stock boss on the back to fit straight on to a b3 and non airbag b4.
