S2 trip computer LCD question

Hey guys

I've read on many forums and it seems to be a common problem with the trip display (LCD leaking) but I i didn't find any clear solutions to it except the obvious of changing the display or speedometer.

Now to my question, is it possible to the housing or LCD from 100/s4/a6/s6 c4/c5? will it fit or not?

Display from facelift C3 100/200 and C4 100/S4 will fit. C4 A6/S6 looks the same but it won't work - pinout is different. Early C3 display won't work also. Not sure about V8.

Will fit from C4 100, S4 (C4), V8, facelift C3. Are you sure, mdz, that display from A6 (C4) won't work? Have you tried it?

Yes I had A6 display. It has narrower pinout bands at the top and bottom of display than others. Take a closer look and you'll see what I'm talking about.

But good to know that it fits from later c3 and c4, thx for clearing that up!
