    Nope

Orange bulbs from osram that are originally installed are 1.1w
Light green from osram are 2.0w

Light green ones as per picture in this post from the guru:

and here still from the guru the list of watts and related colours

My dash has been in n out so many times I've lost count, the bulbs have been swapped over loads of times never noticed a change in illumination between blue and orange fittings, what is the difference anyway

i pulled the dash pod out of the s6 today but the bulbs i ordered were totally wrong for it. ie i was being stingey and went for these ones . .

    and

the bulbs that were already installed in the pod are a mixture of these two sizes and can be seen in the following photos:

(looking at the back of the dash pod and upside down, from the back of the volt gauge to fuel gauge, just for your entertainment - yes, the wiring loom is still attached!)

although the bulbs are physically different sizes, they both seem to fit in each other's holes (ahem!). does anyone know whether it matters whether they are physically the same size or not?

I used just for illumination #893919040A bulbs.

The warning bulbs are all as stock.
I did find when installing the bulbs that the contacts were "loose" compared to the originals so a little coaxing the contact terminals tighter with your fingernail worked quite well. Also noticed on a black faced gauge they look like new Audi's but with the White/Grey faced guages you see more illumination from behind the needle and needle base. You can always turn down the dimmer a bit..

Yes i agree with you plus also in the mix it might in no small measure be the fact they are mostly German and we all know they are genius engineers most of the time. Urm....Man on the moon, inter ballistic missiles the list is endless almost.
